Thank you to everyone who came along to the AGM on Friday evening. It was lovely to see so many of our wonderful friends and members.
Shirley-Anne Wilson, Chair of Trustees, made a very important announcement that we’d like to share with you.
“I announced at the AGM that I am stepping down as chair from April 30th.I was vice chair for 2 years and chair since 2018 and I think it’s time for someone else to take the park to its next development stage.I’m very proud of all our staff and volunteers - the park was in a difficult place when I took over and thanks to our amazing team we have achieved so much.
I would like to thank all members for their support of me and I know you will offer that support to my successor.I will of course continue to promote and support the park at every opportunity.We are following due process for electing our next chair. The closing date for expressions of interest is February the 7th and these will go forward to our board meeting on the 26th of February.
We hope to elect at that meeting and will of course be keeping you all informed.Once again thank you for all your support of the park - it is much appreciated.See you at one of our many spring and summer events.”
